Ulpan Story doesn't sell its books on this site: you buy them on Amazon. The only thing we collect is your email address, to open your book's companion. This page explains what we do with it.

These transformed values are deleted after 24 hours.

We don't collect your name, postal address or any payment details.

Count QR scans, sign-ins and clicks to Amazon, as overall figures with no personal data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which books are read.

We never sell or rent your data, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

– Your address, your access and your progress: as long as you use the companion. They're deleted three years after your last sign-in, or as soon as you ask. – An address that was never confirmed: 7 days. – An address left before a book came out: until we've let you know, then 30 days. – Your choice about news and its date: as long as we keep your address. – Technical data (transformed IP address): 24 hours.

Only the publisher of Ulpan Story. Our technical providers host the site, the database and the email delivery. They act only on our instructions:

If one of them processes data outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR: the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. We only keep on your device what makes the site work:

– your session, so you stay signed in to the companion; – your reading settings: night mode, text size, audio speed, auto-advance, last page read; – a one-hour marker after a QR scan, so the same scan isn't counted twice.

These are strictly necessary: they don't require your consent and serve no other purpose.

The buy button takes you to Amazon. From there, Amazon's privacy policy applies.

At any time, you can:

– see your data and get a copy of it; – have it corrected; – have it deleted, which closes your access to the companion; – object to a use of it, or have that use restricted; – say no to news about new books: every email has an unsubscribe link, and the reader space has a switch; – tell us what to do with your data after your death.
