For teachers
Do you teach Hebrew?
Ulpan teachers, Hebrew teachers, associations, communities: our books are made to go alongside a class.
Between lessons, your students read a true story in Hebrew, at their own pace, with support that fades chapter after chapter. Back in class, you find students who have read, who have understood, and who want to talk about it.
Why our books work in a classroom
- 1
A true story, in short chapters
Each chapter fits into one session of home reading and gives you something to discuss: the facts, the characters, the choices they make.
- 2
A clear level
The book is for readers who can already read Hebrew with vowels. The level test on our site lets each student check in under two minutes.
- 3
Working out meaning from context
Your students learn to understand a word without looking it up: the story, the sentence and the root give them the answer. That is how Hebrew is read and heard every day, in Israel and everywhere else.
- 4
Vocabulary that comes back
New words come back page after page, always linked to their root. Students don't memorise them: they recognise them.
- 5
One vocabulary field per book
Each book brings its own vocabulary. Eli Cohen works on the language of espionage, the army, family and city life; every new book opens up another field. You choose the book according to the theme you want to work on with your group.
- 6
An online companion
Through its QR code, each book unlocks page-by-page audio, practice exercises and the full glossary. Everything students need to keep going between lessons.
Let's talk
An order for a group, a question about the level, a partnership idea for your ulpan or association: leave us your details with the form below. We will get back to you quickly.
What level do students need to read this book?
They need to be able to sound out Hebrew with vowels and know a few common words and phrases. The book does not teach the alphabet: it teaches you to understand what you can already read.
Does each student get access to the online companion?
Yes. The QR code printed in the book unlocks the companion: audio, exercises, glossary. All it takes is an email address.
Can we order for a group?
Yes. Tell us how many students you have in the form, and we will suggest the simplest option for your group.
